TSU student James Jones Jr., 21, died as a result of a car accident in Chattanooga, Tenn. The crash involved three vehicles on Highway 153 early in the morning on June, 10. Jones was pronounced dead upon arrival to Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, Tenn.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) _ A pregnant illegal immigrant found herself shackled to a hospital bed while enduring labor after being arrested for driving without a license, according to police and her attorney.
Juana Villegas of Nashville was arrested and taken to the Davidson County Sheriff's Office on July 3 after a Berry Hill police officer pulled her over for careless driving and found she had no driver's license.

Zeny Panol, former editor for the International Communication Bulletin, has been appointed by the School of Journalism as interim director for the 2008/2009 school year.
Panol's related experience includes Mass Communications and Public Relations at MTSU and is a faculty advisor for the Public Relations Student Society of America.
